Drink & Draw (virtual)

90 minutes of uninterrupted drawing of a live model. You choose your media and they facilitate the agenda for the session. This was quite challenging for me because I wouldn’t use my time wisely sporadically in this session. I felt insecure of my ability to translate what I could see. I tend to use materials that can not be removed easily. This encourages me to focus on drawing and not processing. I felt like the more I released of any tension the more fluid my lines were. I could see the tense in my lines in certain poses but I’m glad I can acknowledge what I experienced and my willingness to continue to challenge myself.

Patience.

Everyone starts from zero, no one comes into this world with everything figured out and clear vision on what’s next.. It’s important to take time to reflect and process in your craft. Lay your dreams up to the sky..

Donny Hathaway Happy Saturday! This weekend is filled with organizing, decluttering and a sensual performance. Deep clean the house and de clutter my wardrobe are the objectives for this Saturday. Sunday I will be back in charlotte for a night cap, I am nervous but also very excited to see an erotic performance. This year I’m challenging myself to step...

Best of me

How do you measure your growth? My philosophy has always been to strive for the best version of myself, there’s always a gap between the person I see myself to be and the person I will be in the near future. It’s important to put things into perspective, celebrate the wins and learn from mistakes. I’ve always been a risk taker when it comes to my life and I must say, it feels amazing to be alive. Happy hump day!

ABCs.

Monday’s can be quite annoying if you aren’t prepared, take some time on Sunday to prepare yourself for the upcoming week to ensure you start strong. I try to make my brain available for at least 30 minutes to conceptualize what I want my week to look like and how I plan to be successful. Sometimes it’s nice to be ahead of yourself, it gives opportunity a space to develop. I get a lot of anxiety when I don’t map my days out. I go far as mapping out short and long term goal to make sure I am aligned with my goals. Not every day is going to be pleasant but if you start off strong you can only...
